To mark the national Great Kindness Challenge Week, students at Hamilton are being challenged to complete as many Acts of Kindness as they can during the week of January 27-31. Students are encouraged to keep track of their acts of kindness and submit tickets once they reach a certain number. At the end of the week, we will randomly choose students from each bucket for a small prize. We are looking forward to seeing how many acts of kindness our students can complete!

This week in Physical Education the board game Battleship comes to life! Students work together to set up ships in the Hamilton ocean. Then, they create a team strategy and practice overhand throwing. If they make a catch, players can unlock an opportunity to go on a spy mission to help their team sink the opposing team's ships. Our students always enjoy playing this competitive skill-based game!

Each of the five grades---Kindergarten through 4th---sang as a group, and then they all teamed up to sing The Nutcracker March and Frosty the Snowman.
Here are photos of each of the grades and the students singing their merry tunes.

Last evening, the Board of Education awarded a bid to renovate the High School Performing Arts Center. This project is possible due to the success of our 2023 referendum and will commence at the end of the current school year. Please take a moment to look at the renderings.

Man’s best friend made a bunch of friends at the Hamilton Primary School on Thursday, December 5.
Two therapy dogs, Theo and Buddy, paid a visit from Creature Comfort to Hamilton and received a hearty welcome from the school’s 3rd and 4th Grade students.
Creature Comfort, which is out of Madison, is an organization that on its website states “ To enhance people’s lives through therapeutic visits with caring volunteers and their pets.”
“Our students loved meeting Theo and Buddy, the therapy dogs, during the morning,” Hamilton Principal Tim Beaumont said. “ They asked the dogs’ handlers lots of interesting questions and enjoyed the chance to pet the animals. We are grateful to our friends at Creature Comfort and to our School Counselor, Mrs. (Debra) Ianniciello, for facilitating this educational and heartwarming experience.”
