Stephen Pikulin and Crystal Chen, who led their teams to state championships this school year, were honored as the Bridgewater-Raritan High School’s 2026 Skyland Conference Male and Female Scholar Athletes of the Year during a ceremony on Monday, April 27.
The senior students were joined by family, high school administrators, and coaches at the event, held in the morning at Maggiano’s Little Italy in Bridgewater. Each school in the conference was represented with their recipients.
Pikulin was a member of the Bridgewater-Raritan football team that won the school’s first state sectional playoff title when it captured the North Jersey, Section 2, Group 5 championship in November. He is also a member of the school’s baseball team.
Chen swam for Bridgewater-Raritan, which won the Group A state championship this winter, the sixth state title for the girls’ swim program.
