Bridgewater-Raritan High School’s Unified Basketball Team, which has been eliminated in the state tournament semifinals for the past two years, will bid to win a state championship when it begins play in the NJSIAA Tournament on Thursday, March 5.
Bridgewater-Raritan, which is the fourth seed in the state North Tournament, will be home to fifth-seeded Sparta High School on Tuesday, March 3, at 3:45 p.m. in the Vaughn Stapleton Gymnasium.

The other North sectional semifinal pits third-seeded Union City High School (9-0) against seventh-seeded Hunterdon Central Regional High School (7-2).
The North sectional final is set for Thursday, March 12.
Bridgewater-Raritan was eliminated from the NJSIAA Group A tournament’s semifinals for the past two seasons by rival Hunterdon Central, which went on to win the state title last winter.
