BRHS boy hoops huddle

Bridgewater-Raritan High School’s undefeated boys’ basketball team will bid to win its ninth game of the season when it plays on its home court on Thursday, January 8.

The foe that will seek to stop Bridgewater-Raritan’s unbeaten surge will be rival Immaculata High School. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in the Vaughn Stapleton Gymnasium.

Immaculata enters the game with a 4-2 record, losing to Pingry School, 64-59, on Tuesday, January 7.

Bridgewater-Raritan remained undefeated when it rolled to a 69-50 victory over Watchung Hills Regional High School on Tuesday, January 6, in Warren.

High-scoring Richie Gardfner continued to pump in the points when he connected on a game-high 20 for Bridgewater-Raritan against Watchung Hills. The 6-3 senior guard has hit for at least 20 points in five games this winter.

Fellow senior guard, Brandon Ur, who scored 14 points in the victory against Watchung Hills, and forwards, junior Tyler Hamby and sophomore Joe Chien, have been major contributors to the unbeaten start for Coach Gene McAteer.
