BR senior day girls golf

Simran Agarwala selected the perfect day to shoot her best round of golf this spring.

In her final scholastic career in a regular-season golf match, Agarwala shot a season-best 40 on Tuesday, April 30, when she guided Bridgewater-Raritan High School’s girls’ golf team to a 170-231 victory over Hillsborough High School at the Raritan Valley Country Club in Bridgewater.

Her round helped celebrate Senior Day, when Agarwala, the team’s lone Class of 2025 golfer, was honored.

Bridgewater-Raritan’s card that listed 170 was also its season-low team score.

Bridgewater-Raritan Coach Steve Kline spoke about the contributions that his senior delivered during her four years as a letter winner.

“Simran has been an integral part of the girls' golf program, starting every match and tournament since her freshman year,’ Coach Kline revealed. “In her career, she contributed to three division championships, one Somerset County Tournament championship, and two Skyland Conference Tournament championships. She was also a key contributor to the Tournament of Champions appearance in 2022.”

Agarwala, who is bound for the University of North Carolina, and her Bridgewater-Raritan teammates will compete next in the NJSIAA North A State Sectional Tournament on Monday, May 5, at the Great Gorge Golf Club in Vernon.
