STAR: Students Take Active Roles
The Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District believes that technology is s a tool to provide students with 21st Century skills, which will keep them competitive in the global workplace. It is not enough to simply add technology into existing teaching methods. Instead, technology must be strategically implemented to maximize the benefit to the students. In short, the team believes our professional development needs to focus on how we are teaching instead of what we are teaching. We believe that technology should be part of our everyday norm. The benefits of a technology-infused classroom include the ability for teachers to deliver personalized learning to students, increase students' technology and 21st Century skills, and empower students in the learning process.
