Raritan Valley Symphonic Band Presents “Musical Instrument Petting Zoom” Part 4 (Tubas & Euphoniums)

The Raritan Valley Symphonic Band invites kids of all ages to the final virtual “Musical Instrument Petting Zoom” presentation on Sunday February 28 @ 2 pm.  Admission is free and this 30 minute virtual session will feature Tubas & Euphoniums!

Please use the following link to view the presentation, which begins at 2:00 pm.  This link is also available on the band’s website: RVSB.org

Meeting ID: 844 8321 9816

Passcode: 435578

Students will receive an introduction to the instrument and its history, an explanation of the various parts of the instrument (e.g., keys, valves, tubes), brief solo and group performances with the instrument, and more.  Each session will conclude with a live Q&A period.

The RVSB is one of New Jersey’s top community bands, performing at least 5 concerts annually, plus performances at the 2019 Association of Concert Bands convention and the 2017 John Basilone memorial concert.

These virtual presentations are offered this year instead of the band’s highly popular Children’s Concert, which usually features performances of light music followed by a live “instrument petting zoo”.

This program is made possible by funds from the Somerset County Cultural and Heritage Commission, a partner of the New Jersey State Council on the Arts.
