BRRSD Families and Community Members,
Much like travel in a spacecraft, distance learning can prove difficult as we share resources and limited space. After four days of families living and learning together, our journey may look less like a scene from Wall-E and more like one out of Alien. But, still, we must band together and continue to focus on the positives. So many parents and students have shared with me the fun they are having and the learning that is happening. I have been able, through Google Meet, to check in with so many of our teachers as they collaborate and to visit with students as they work with their teachers. It is an exciting time.
And to continue that excitement, we are announcing that next week will be a district-wide, virtual celebration.
There will be a unique theme for each school day next week. We ask that you capture your participation through pictures and video. You can share these with your teachers or classmates, or, if you are comfortable, you can also post them on Twitter. Include the hashtag: #BRingonthespirit. All posts with this hashtag will appear on our Distance Learning page for everyone to enjoy. We are encouraging everyone at home during this distance learning to participate: students, staff, families, alumni, parents of alumni, and members of the larger BRRSD community.
Our journey will continue to be full of challenges, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have some fun along the way.
Thanks to everyone. Look for our list of spirit days in tomorrow’s email.
